Giving to the Department of Physics and Astronomy

The Department of Physics and Astronomy takes great pride in its "sense of community". Your contribution to the Department enriches the experience for current and future students, faculty, and staff, and helps to maintain the atmosphere that you enjoyed.  If you have supported us in the past, we are most grateful, and hope that you will continue to do so. If you are interested in making a gift to the department, there are several funds to select from that cultivate, sustain and further the excellence of research and education in physics and astronomy. You can give directly online to any of the funds below by selecting the corresponding link.

The  Physics and Astronomy Department Fund for Excellence (# 284420) supports general operations and programmatic initiatives ranging from institutional memberships, scientific conferences and symposiums, to the renovation or development of research facilities and associated staffing needs.

The  Physics and Astronomy Education Fund (# 264100) supports all educational programs and endeavors of the department in particular undergraduate and graduate scholarship awards as well as fellowships.

The  Gerald E. Brown Endowment and Excellence Fund (# 362390) was established in memory of Gerry Brown to increase the endowment of the physics and astronomy department. The interest garnered is invested in innovative research and education programs, in faculty and student development, facilities planning and other endeavors that positively impact the long range plans of the department.

The  Rod Engelmann Endowment in Physics and Astronomy (# 366360) was established in memory of Rod Engelmann to support graduate student research projects, primarily in High Energy Physics.
