Tenure-Track Junior Faculty Position in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics - Stony Brook UniversityThe Department of Physics and Astronomy at Stony Brook University seeks to hire a tenure-track assistant professor in the field of experimental condensed matter physics, with a focus on nanoscale structures and devices, benefiting from the existing micro- and nanofabrication facilities. Pending budgetary authority, the appointment could start in Fall 2009. Candidates must have the Ph.D. degree, relevant research experience, and a strong publication record. The successful candidate is expected to carry out an independent research program, attract external grant support, contribute to teaching activities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and participate in Department and University service.
